Martha is a 13 year-old child whose mother died recently. She felt her life turn badly and then she lived with her dad. One thing that made her uncomforted is her town. It’s called Oak Groove, a place where people there definitely dread water. It’s all started since it used to endure a terrible flood. From then on, citizen there do everything to keep the water out of the town. Most people love its condition now, but it poles apart with Martha. She really hated that place because it never rained and thought that it was the worst year of her life. One that she really wants is finding and seeing the ocean, the blue place for her.
In her life, she only has 2 best friends, Trevor and Eli McGill. They always be there for her and pleasant to talk to. Moreover, they apparently have the same dream, they want to see the ocean! They have bored and can’t stand their condition now. Till the day they decided to runaway and made a journey to find ocean.
When they were about to start the it, the city suddenly got a horrible storm that made it distracted. They were separated first but Martha tried so hard to find her best friend. She did everything to rescue them and sacrifice herself till she was injured. And everything worked, Trevor and Eli were finally found.
After all terrifying experiences, their parent found them and they do aware that they cannot life without them. Martha backed to his father, and so did her best friend.
